| Great News on Gas and Camping |

The Club has decided to continue to subsidise the cost of Propane at 2017 NWBAC Balloon Meets and limit the cost of camping for members to £8.00 per member unit per night, (£10.00 for non members).

Propane will cost £45.00 per 47 Kg Cylinder, (approx.45p per Ltr),with the proviso that should the wholesale price rocket up, the Committee can review our policy.
Pilots will still need to pay the Treasurer up front for gas, either in cash or by cheque, on site. A system of coloured “event wrist bands” will be used to signify payment and of cylinder “ownership”. The treasurer is not sure how this will work at Congleton as the Propane supply is not under our direct control but will make ever effort to keep the costs down to this limit over the May Day weekend.
Subsidised gas will only be available for flights / tethers during a meet, filling empty cylinders on arrival will be at the commercial rate.
The charge for non members wishing to come to one of our meets with a balloon is £25.00 but this includes a minimum of 12 months Club Membership and entitlement to members subsidised Propane and Camping. |
